Refund Policy
Last updated 23 August 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers ScodyX monthly plans and one-time credit packs sold through our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle. It sits alongside your statutory rights, which it does not limit.
2. Statutory rights
Where consumer law in your country gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase, that right applies. In the UK and EEA a consumer normally has 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase; that right can be lost once the service has been supplied with your consent, which happens when you start using build credits. Business purchases are not covered by consumer withdrawal rights.
3. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed in advance for each period. Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your plan active until the end of the period already paid for; part-used periods are not pro-rated by default. Where a charge is duplicated, taken after a cancellation, or the Service was substantially unavailable for the period concerned, we will arrange a refund or credit.
4. Credits are non-refundable
Credits are a consumable digital entitlement, made available to your workspace immediately on purchase. Once purchased they are non-refundable, whether or not you spend them — spent credits because the underlying model usage has already been incurred, and unspent credits because the entitlement was supplied in full at the point of sale. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another workspace or account.
Where a mandatory consumer withdrawal right applies to your purchase and you have not started using the entitlement, that statutory right takes precedence over this section; see section 2.
5. Carry-forward and expiry
Plan credits are granted for each billing period. Unused plan credits carry forward beyond the period in which they were granted as follows:
- Monthly plans: unused credits carry forward for a maximum of one further month, then expire.
- Annual plans: unused credits carry forward for a maximum of two further months, then expire.
- One-time credit packs: valid for twelve months from purchase, then expire. Pack credits are consumed after plan credits.
Expired credits are removed from the balance shown in your workspace and are not refunded or reinstated. Every grant, debit and expiry is written to the credit ledger in your workspace with a timestamp, so you can see the balance and expiry dates at any time. If a plan is cancelled, remaining credits stay usable until the end of the period already paid for and do not carry forward after that.
6. Platform-fault runs
Credits consumed by a run that failed for a reason on our side are re-granted to your workspace once verified against the run's request ID; you do not need to request that separately. A re-grant restores credits, not money, and it does not extend the carry-forward window of the original grant. Duplicate charges and charges taken after a cancellation are refunded as money, as described in section 3.
7. How to request one
Refunds are processed by Paddle. Raise a request at paddle.net with your order email or receipt, or email support@ischolarx.com and we will raise it with Paddle on your behalf. Include your workspace name and the order reference. We aim to respond within five business days; the time for funds to appear is set by your payment provider, not by us.
8. After a refund
When a refund is issued, the related subscription is cancelled and any unused credits granted by that purchase are removed from the workspace. Projects you have already generated remain exportable while your account is open. iScholarX LLC does not charge a processing fee for refunds. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to the transaction.
